We will drove over the bridge to the west side of Luxor, to the Necropolis. First stop is the temple of Ramses 3. Medinet Habu consists of a palace and a town enclosed within a defensive wall. Medinet Habu was the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III.
The Ramesseum is located close to Medinet Habu, and is the memorial temple of Pharaoh Ramesses II.
Valley of the Nobles has the the most beautiful paintings of the Theban tombs. The preservation of color remains astounding. Here, you will visit the two most beautiful tombs: The Tomb of Nakht and the Tomb of Menna.
Valley of the Artisans (Deir el-Medina). This is the place where the workmen of the royal tombs used to live. Here you will see the Temple of Deir el-Medina, which was dedicated to the goddess Hathor. This is the only temple in all of Egypt where you can admire carvings of the Final Judgement. It is an ancient village which was home to the artisans who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th to 20th dynasties of the New Kingdom period (1550-1080BCE). Enjoy the colorful workers family tombs with their vivid and impressive paintings.
